Scrivener for Windows

11-8-2011 9-02-28 PMI bought another software package for writing. I think I may have a serious problem. I’m such a…such a slut for software. I’m afraid I’ll…I’ll contract some disease from it all. But I just can’t stop myself! I’m out of control!

Actually, I’m not. I’m well within control. This was something I told my loving spouse I would do a few months back. She agreed. Now that it’s released, it’s mine. MINE!

While I don’t know as much about Scrivener as I do other software packages, I’m thoroughly enamored of software which allows me to construct my story architecture for a book or story and write to it. Scrivener has a nice added feature of being set up for use as  a novel template, a short story template, or a script of some kind. It can also be a blank manuscript with none of the pre-defined sets. So it’s versatile and very easy to use.

The software package does not yet exist, to my knowledge, which will allow me to write and publish directly to an ePub or other eBook format. That day, however, is coming soon.

So, for what they’re worth, I can’t say I don’t have the tools to do my writing. Unless, of course, the missing “tools” are the ones between my ears.

Happy Wednesday, yo.
