The Sandwich Onslaught Continues

Chow down, searchers.

My consistently high numbers for sandwich searchers amuses me. So, I’ll continue to use the word “sandwich’ in varying contexts so those folks who want sandwiches will get what they came for. Never let it be said I stood up the masses.

Hoi polloi aside, I have issues sitting at my computer desk and writing. When I get home from work, my back can take anywhere from fifteen to sixty minutes to loosen up so I’m not in agony. By then, of course, we’ve supped. I gamble then and move to my writing desk where the sinister chair awaits my helpless and hapless back and a$$.

So, naturally, there isn’t much being done with my WIP. (Which is fine because I still need feedback from one of my beta readers — ELISA.) That depresses me because I finally have a solid outline and feel I can move this thing along pretty well.

At work, I’ve accomplished something I didn’t think I’d be able to do. True, it took much longer than I’d like, but hey — I was pretty convinced “never” was the ETA on that. So that’s big news. The downside? I didn’t do enough programmatically with it. Lots of front-end work in MS Access to make it happen, but easier’s easier, and I have to find a way to keep this stuff stored somewhere.

OH, next week I’ll have a review of Scrivener for Windows’s export to an ebook format (probably HTML) next week sometime. I’ve completed the first test and it went pretty well. If I come up with a cover image I’ll pop it up on Amazon for 99¢ and then make it free on Smashwords. (That’s a tip for you newbie Amazon publishers — make it free somewhere else if you want Amazon to make it free too.)

Anyway, not much else to say. Work, home, eat, sleep, repeat. How’s it by you? What’s up for your weekend?

  1. Dang it. Now I want a sandwich. Nothing fancy. Just some butter and strawberry jam. No, cherry jam. Some good cherry jam.

    Look what you’ve done.

And I’d do it again. You know, I’ve never had cherry jam. Don’t know if I’ve ever even seen cherry jam for sale. How ’bout that? Now look what YOU’VE done!

  2. haha. It’s funny the ways people find our blogs. For months, every single day, I had someone coming on my blog via the term “man leaning”. um, what??? At least sandwich kind of makes sense. And wouldn’t the person know after the first click that my blog doesn’t have men of any sort leaning. Okay, I did have one picture for a contest, labeled that, but nothing else that would rocket boost my blog’s SEO.

SEO’s a joke, isn’t it? I mean, look at what’s causing big hits. HA! “Sandwich” is a buzzword?! Get out of here.

….and, man, I want a sandwich now too!!! it’s that dang sandwich nirvana striking again.

    Hehehe. Glad to help.

I’ve been using the mobipocket for Kindle that you blogged about. I’ll be interested to here about Schrivener too.

Scrivener is pretty good, but one thing to be aware of is, it will only export as RTF unless you WRITE the export file in Scrivener. So, meh.

Hey, what's up? Tell me whatcha think!
