Things at work feel more stressful for me than they have in a long time. I’m guessing because my barely competent skill set is being exposed on a regular basis, and that makes me nervous. Eventually these people are going to figure out I can’t do what I was hired to do and fire me. 😦
All worrying aside — yeah, right, couldn’t type that with a straight face, either — it’s frustrating to know what I have to do and even have some idea how to do it, but not be able to make the magic happen where the rubber meets the road. So today, I have my normal round of reporting to do, then I have the month-end reporting to do, then I have this looming thunder-shock project looming which has to be finished by Monday. Oh, and we’re closed on Friday to observe Good Friday.
So I only have until Thursday evening to finish figuring out how to do what I don’t know how to do, test it, and get it deployed into production.
Needless to say, if any of you are the praying type, I am taking all comers.
In other news, I finished off the last of my new TV series last night, so I can return without distraction to writing. (AAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!)
I’m a wreck. How’s it by you?
