Hi, and thank you for stopping by my little corner of the blogosphere.
This is a place for me to dump things out of my head and onto some text. It’s a journal, in that here, I’ll share some of my inner thoughts and workings. Sometimes I’ll write about things that amuse me, or make me happy, or just plain tick me off. Occasionally I’ll rant. Heh.
All of my works of fiction have been relocated to a separate blog, which you can find here if you’re interested in that sort of thing. Not a lot of folks are, but a few.
In January, 2008, I was honored with an award for powerful words by Leafless over at Pen of Passion. I’d like to thank Leafless for my first blog award; it was a great honor. It’s also turned into a viral meme over on DeviantART, but that’s another story. Heh.
In January of 2009, I received two more awards! I was selected by WhatIGotSoFar for the Kreativ Blogger award, which is flattering and honoring, and by GoodBadandUgly2 for the Addictive Blog award, which is also flattering and honoring. Because I don’t feel creative, addictive OR powerful right now. But I’m grateful to all of those who feel I am.
So, feel free to peruse the things you find here, and leave me feedback too. If you have constructive criticism or suggestions for things I can do with this space, feel free to let me know that too.
Thanks again for coming by, and be blessed.

MadSilence, thanks for coming by. I guess I should put the award here somewhere, shouldn’t I?
Thanks for the nod and congrats to you, too!
The last time I was here, it was all red and black theme. I like this theme a lot better. I deleted my last blog and started one that looks exactly the same, mainly to kill off trolls I had and people I didn’t like who read my blog.
Where is your ghost hunters story?
Vonnegut is the man btw.
Hey, J. R., good to see you again! Yes, Kurt Vonnegut is a legend, and with good reason. 🙂
The new Batman movie was probably the best historically BTW. That shit was off the hook. It was filmed in your favorite city of course (mine too.)
Am I the only one that realizes its kind of insulting for a city to resemble Gotham City?
If you have any friends at Deviant Art that have spare time on their hands, I am looking for a new custom header to do away with my intentionally faded Chicago skyline.
I’m not sure I know any who’ll take a commission like that without charging, J. R., but I can check around. I’ll let you know on your blog if I find someone.
Well, so I did pop over to your fiction blog because I am someone interested in that sort of thing, but I see that you write horror… and I’m a wimp. If you ever do watch Torchwood, that show is as scary as I can handle. I mentioned that Stephen King story in another post, right? I read that 20 years ago and I still can’t talk about it. So… do you write anything not too scary? Or is that an insane question?
Aw, I’m sorry I scared you.
BOO! HA! Just kidding, just kidding … but seriously, check out this one, or this ‘un here, or this one, perhaps, or maybe this one, or even this one here, and I bet you’ll find them less than psyche-scarring. Or, you can check out any of these, and I promise there’s nothing scary there. I promise.
OH, and my loving wife says I MUST include this one for you. Not scary; not horror. My attempt, in fact, at literary fiction.
And, thank you so much for taking the time. I’d love to read your stuff, too. You come highly recommended by Sherri, and she’s tops in my book. So link me to some of your work and I’ll while my time away reading your fiction too! 🙂
I know. I’m a scaredy-cat. I used to watch or read horror to prove something, but then I decided it wasn’t worth the sleepless nights. Well, a few episodes of Torchwood scared the hell out of me, but it doesn’t take much. And I fell in love with the show before it scared me, so I could stick with it.
I’m going to have to find that show somewhere if I can and check it out.
Thanks for the links. I will get some reading done this weekend. And if you are so inclined, you can go here http://lakebelle.wordpress.com/ to read a few chapters of a few different novels. There are no short stories because I don’t like my attempts.
BE WARNED! All of my stuff online is in ROUGH DRAFT form. I do minor editing, but major stuff I don’t do online. I figure I might submit it someday. So have your patience at the ready! And thank you again.
Sherri is cool.
Very. And she thinks likewise of you.
I really should proof my comments. That was supposed to be “…before it scared me…” Well, looking at sentence I’d rewrite the whole thing…
I see no issue with the sentence. You must be a writer or something. 😉
two blogger awards, good for you. You have unique tastes and could see things from a writer’s perspective, lucky that your work has approval from all.
Thank you very much, Jingle. I’m happy you stopped by to say hello. My work doesn’t always get approval from all, though. It’d be nice, but it’s not the case, and I’m okay with that. It’s how we learn and grow. Thanks again for the visit and God bless!
I’ve added your link to my page. Been emailing others about it, and figured it’s easier to just point them to my page. Hope it’s okay.
That’s fine, Berna! Thank you, I’m honored. 🙂
Hope that you have a remarkable weekend.
You are confident about your work, feel good about yourself, which is more important than someone else’s feedback. Believe in yourself, spend this day with upbeat mood and first-class job..
Merry Christmas!
